Leesburg Foodbank is a 501.C3 organization with more than 40 years of history. We have an efficient and effective operations team executing 4 days a week, 50+ dedicated volunteers, solid financials, a distribution center, a fleet of vehicles, and support from 200+ local supporters. We have no religious affiliation and receive no government support. We run multiple food distribution programs for Leesburg, Fruitland Park, Lady Lake, and Okahumpka communities.
Our Executive Director is retiring after 20+ years. The Board has made the strategic decision to move to a professional governance model board and is looking to strengthen the board. To start, we are looking for professionals with financial, legal, and non-profit management experience to help assure compliance. Other skills will be strengthened in a 2nd wave of recruiting. This is not a fixer upper opportunity. This is about management oversight, fiscal responsibility, and organizational sustainability. We are setting the course for the next decade and beyond.
