    Website Manager - Volunteer Position

    The Disu Foundation is looking to fill a volunteer position as a Website Manager to enhance our digital presence and drive meaningful engagement with our mission through compelling online experiences.

    About The Role

    We are seeking a creative and technically skilled individual to manage and optimize our website presence. This position is perfect for someone passionate about digital marketing, web development, and nonprofit communications who wants to make a direct impact on our organization's reach and effectiveness.

    Key Responsibilities

    Website Development & Management:

      • Create and maintain engaging web pages that drive increased traffic and user engagement
      • Update website content regularly with fresh, relevant information about programs and initiatives
      • Ensure website functionality, performance, and user experience optimization
      • Implement responsive design principles for mobile and desktop compatibility
      • Manage website hosting, domain, and technical maintenance issues

    Content Creation & Strategy:

      • Develop compelling content including blog posts, program descriptions, and impact stories
      • Create and optimize landing pages for fundraising campaigns and events
      • Write SEO-optimized content to improve search engine rankings
      • Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across all web content

    Digital Marketing & Analytics:

      • Implement SEO best practices to increase organic website traffic
      • Set up and monitor Google Analytics and other tracking tools
      • Create and manage social media integration and sharing capabilities
      • Develop email newsletter templates and donation page optimization
      • Track and report on website performance metrics and user engagement

    Visual Design & User Experience:

      • Design graphics, banners, and visual elements for web pages
      • Ensure consistent branding and visual identity across the website
      • Optimize images and media for web performance
      • Conduct user experience testing and implement improvements

    Technical Support:

      • Troubleshoot website issues and coordinate with hosting providers when necessary
      • Maintain website security and perform regular backups
      • Keep website plugins, themes, and content management system updated
      • Ensure website compliance with accessibility standards

    Ideal Candidate

      • Experience with website development and content management systems (WordPress, Squarespace, or similar)
      • Strong understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing strategies
      • Proficiency in HTML/CSS and basic web development skills
      • Experience with Google Analytics and social media platforms
      • Experience writing and content creation abilities
      • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
      • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
      • Understanding of accessibility standards and compliance
      • Experience with fundraising and donation platform integration
      • Background in communications, marketing, or related field
      • Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion optimization
