    Star Hospice, in partnership with LHC Group and Pet Peace of Mind, is committed to keeping pets and people together through life’s transitions. For many hospice patients, pets provide unconditional love, comfort, and companionship during a deeply emotional time. Through this compassionate program, Star Hospice offers in-home pet care assistance to help patients continue caring for their beloved furry friends.

    Pet Peace of Mind ensures that patients can focus on what matters most, knowing their pets are safe and cared for. Our services include:

    • Providing essential pet care support
    • Ensuring food and supplies are available
    • Dog walking, waste cleanup, and litter box maintenance
    • Scheduling and transportation to veterinary appointments
    • Grooming services
    • Emergency temporary boarding
    • Assistance with rehoming pets when needed

    No one should have to say goodbye to a pet because of a terminal illness. Pet Peace of Mind exists to enrich the lives of seriously ill patients by supporting the bond they share with their pets.
