    Description

Love the Kitchen? Love Community? Join Us! If you're kitchen-savvy and enjoy working in a team environment, our Kitchen is calling for YOU!

By volunteering with us, you’re doing more than serving food —

you’re putting a hot meal on someone’s plate, offering warmth, kindness, and gratitude to those who have served and to those who need it most.

What better way to give back than with your helping hands, a caring heart, and a smile that brings hope?

We’re looking for caring, reliable volunteers to assist in our kitchen to help us between the times of:

    • Lunch Service (11:30 - 1:00)
    • Dinner Service (5:00 - 6:00)
    • If you are an early riser we do have flexible shifts in the morning starting as early from 6:30am and latest around 6:00pm and have you out the door at 6:30pm.

Duties: No experience needed!! — just a willing heart. Duties range from simple yet essential tasks like chopping vegetables and washing dishes, to more specialized roles like cooking and plating dishes—especially during community events and holidays. Your role may vary depending on your experience and the kitchen’s needs.

    • Kitchen Assistant - Various duties in Meal preparation, washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen (sweeping, mopping, sanitizing work stations)
    • Meal Servers - Serving meals (Lunch and Dinner services)

What to wear: we must follow state food safety guidelines: hairnets, baseball caps (not provided), or hair pulled back when working with food. Please also dress in comfy clothing with no rips, holes, or vulgar images on clothing. Shoes must be closed toe.

What to bring: just your beautiful smile. The kitchen supplies hairnets, gloves, and aprons.

Our Kitchen not only serves nutritious meals to our Veterans, but also supports the wider community through our Café. As part of this meaningful work environment, you'll help with food preparation, keep the workspace clean and organized, and ensure proper food safety and sanitation at all times.
