The Civics Coach will inspire individuals to become active and informed participants in the democratic process, fostering a deeper understanding of civic responsibilities and encouraging meaningful civic engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement comprehensive civic literacy programs tailored to the needs and interests of diverse communities.
    • Design engaging curriculum and educational materials focused on topics such as government structure, democratic principles, rights and responsibilities, and current events.
    • Deliver interactive workshops, seminars, and presentations to community groups, schools, and other stakeholders to promote civic awareness and participation.
    • Collaborate with community leaders, educators, and organizations to identify opportunities for partnership and collective action.

    • Stay informed about relevant laws, policies, and current events shaping the political landscape, and incorporate this knowledge into program development and delivery.
    • Serve as a resource and advocate for civic engagement within the organization and broader community, promoting a culture of active citizenship and democratic participation.

    Time Commitment

We hold monthly all-staff meetings lasting approximately 1 hour each and each team can meet up to three times a month for team projects. While there are no fixed work hours, we encourage you to dedicate available time between these meetings to projects relevant to your role. It is highly recommended that the selected candidate retain their current employment arrangement while offering their services to CivicsEDU. We will work with your schedule to ensure that your full-time employment remains the top priority.
