Domestically, our 25 offices across the U.S. ensure new arrivals have food, shelter, and clothing, and work with refugees to help them gain self-sufficiency.

    SCOPE OF WORK: The IRC Sacramento Community Wellness department provides culturally and linguistically appropriate psychosocial, mental health, and wellness programming to refugee and immigrant communities. Services include Health Coaching sessions, group wellness sessions, parenting workshops, newcomer support, and youth mental health promotion. The Community Wellness Intern will assist Community Wellness staff in the planning, outreach, implementation, and documentation of Community Wellness programs.

    • Participate in weekly team check-ins and provide administrative and logistical support as needed;
    • Assist in collecting participant feedback and contribute to program evaluation and improvement;
    • Create PowerPoint presentations for mental health and health promotion programs;
    • Gather information about existing mental health resources in Sacramento City to support program referrals and resource navigation;
    • Create trackers and support data management systems to improve program organization, reporting, and documentation;
    • Other duties as assigned by the Community Wellness Supervisor.
