Share your lived experience to help other families by becoming a NAMI Clackamas Parent-to-Parent teacher.
NAMI Clackamas is seeking volunteers to teach our NAMI Clackamas Parent-to_parent class. If you have lived experience of raising a child or adolescent with a mental health condition, this is a great way to give back and help other families facing similar challenges.
NAMI Clackamas Parent-to-Parent is a free weekly six-session class for parents and other family caregivers of children and adolescents who have either been diagnosed with a mental health condition, or who are experiencing symptoms, but have not yet been diagnosed.
The class offers information about mental illness, treatments, family communication skills, and advocacy support.
Requirements include taking the class and then attending a Teacher Training.
Classes are held either online or in-person, based on teacher availability and preference.
