This internship is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in nonprofit program management. The intern will provide essential support for Young Mothers, Inc.’s programming, assisting with communication, logistics, and administrative tasks. Candidates with case management or social work backgrounds are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage communication with program providers, participants, parents, and community partners.
- Assist in planning and coordinating meetings, orientations, and events.
- Address provider inquiries and concerns.
- Track the program attendance and maintainaccurate participant records.
- Support financial tracking, including expense monitoring and data entry.
- Ensure community partners meet enrollment and compliance requirements.
- Assist with the intake process for new participants.
- Process check requests for program-related activities, including field trips and guest speakers.
- Collaborate with the Program Committee to support program quality and effectiveness.
- Build and maintain relationships with local partners and employers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Excel.
- Dependable, proactive, and eager to learn
- Background in case management or social work is a plus.
