    Description

    Senior Companion is a volunteer who provides friendly support and companionship to older adults at the senior center. Senior Companions help create a welcoming, engaging environment by offering social interaction and light assistance during center activities.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Providing companionship and conversation
    • Assisting with group activities, games, and events
    • Helping seniors feel welcomed and engaged
    • Offering support during meals or recreational programs
    • Encouraging socialization and participation

    This role does not include:

    • Medical or personal care
    • Heavy lifting or housekeeping

    Impact of the role:

    Senior Companions play an important role in reducing isolation, supporting wellness, and enhancing the overall experience of seniors at the center.

    This volunteer opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in community service, social services, healthcare, or working with older adults.
