    Description

Fuel Creativity, Equity, and Impact by Joining Our Grant Committee!

Rainbow City Performing Arts (RCPA) believes in the power of the arts to transform lives, strengthen communities, and amplify voices that deserve to be heard. Behind our vibrant performances is the crucial work of securing the resources to make it all possible. Our Grant Committee leads this charge, blending the art of storytelling with strategic fundraising to ensure the growth and sustainability of our mission.

If you have a passion for crafting compelling narratives, an eye for detail, and a desire to champion LGBTQIA+ initiatives, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes. Together, we can secure the funding needed to create inclusive, accessible, and inspiring arts programs for all.

    What You’ll Do

    • Research and identify grant opportunities that align with RCPA’s values and goals.

    • Write and refine thoughtful, persuasive grant applications that tell the story of our community impact.

    • Highlight the importance of equity, inclusion, and accessibility in all funding proposals.

    • Collaborate with leadership and fellow committees to prioritize funding strategies.

    • Advocate for the resources needed to create impactful, mission-driven programming.

    Why Join the Grant Committee?

    • Use your skills in writing, research, or storytelling to drive real change.

    • Be part of a team that’s passionate about uplifting LGBTQIA+ communities through the arts.

    • Gain insight into nonprofit development while making a tangible difference in funding equity-focused projects.

    • Play a pivotal, behind-the-scenes role that ensures the sustainability of inclusive, diverse programming.

    • Help shape the future of a vibrant organization rooted in creativity, inclusivity, and community empowerment.

    Who You Are

You’re ideal for this committee if you have a background or interest in:

    • Writing, journalism, or research, and enjoy crafting clear, engaging prose.

    • Nonprofit fundraising, grant development, or strategic communications.

    • Storytelling or creative framing to inspire support and build connections.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

    • Are passionate about advancing equity, access, and representation in the arts.

    • Feel a sense of satisfaction supporting projects that have a deep community impact.

    • Enjoy working collaboratively and value creativity in problem-solving.

    Commitment and Location

    • Monthly meetings held virtually with occasional in-person opportunities in Seattle, WA.

    • Flexible tasks, perfect for individuals looking for a meaningful way to use their talents.

    The Impact You’ll Make

Your contributions to the Grant Committee will ensure that Rainbow City Performing Arts continues to grow and thrive as a beacon of creativity, inclusion, and equity. Each grant you help secure becomes a foundation for diverse voices to shine, LGBTQIA+ stories to flourish, and audiences to connect through the power of the arts.

At RCPA, we know that every dollar we raise is a step toward a brighter and more inclusive future. Together, we can make the performing arts accessible for all, celebrate the richness of our differences, and foster lasting change. Are you ready to make your mark behind the curtain?
