    Description

    Cat Socializer

Our Cat Team volunteers help provide love, enrichment, socialization and attention to our shelter cats - from kittens to seniors. Training will include how to read cat body language and understand behavior. Activities include brushing, petting and playing with the cats.

Entry level cat volunteers have flexible opportunities for working with the cats. Those interested in a stronger commitment can receive additional training and opportunities, such as Kitten Team (weighing and socializing the small kittens), Cat Lead/Volunteer Trainer and partnering with our Medical Team for other advanced duties. For cat lovers who also have great customer service skills and enjoy working with the public, we have assignments like Cat Adoption Counselors, Class Trainers and Adoption Event Handlers.
