    Horizons at CT State Norwalk is looking for Volunteers to mentor our High School students!

    Volunteer Here: Horizons CT State Norwalk is looking for dedicated professionals to serve as mentors for Norwalk youth.

    We seek individuals who are passionate about inspiring and guiding students, helping them grow academically, socially, and personally to reach their fullest potential.

    WHY MENTORSHIP MATTERS:

    Your guidance as a mentor can inspire a young person to dream big, set goals, and achieve success, while building lasting bonds and opening doors as they prepare for college and adulthood.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A MENTOR:

    • Meet with your mentee at least 4 times a month (in-person)
    • Offering academic guidance and career advice
    • Support with college prep and life skills
    • Encourage personal growth, resilience, and confidence

    PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS FOR OUR STUDENTS:

    • 4-year mentorship commitment
    • SAT preparation and tutoring opportunities
    • College tours and campus visits
    • Fun bonding activities and community events
    • Program launch at our Annual Friendsgiving in November

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's Degree (A MUST)
    • Passion for helping young people
    • Willingness to share experiences and insights
    • Commitment to monthly meetings
    • Complete background check
