    Director of Development

    Please note: While this is a virtual opportunity and work can be performed from anywhere, we are looking for someone who is in or near the areas of the District of Columbia, Baltimore or Frederick, MD.

    Do you love orchestral music? Would you like to work as a volunteer with a small non-profit, meet interesting people, and listen to beautiful music? The National String Symphonia (NSS) is looking to fill the volunteer position ofDirector of Development. This person would be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing fundraising activities for the orchestra, including but not limited to: business and corporate sponsorships, planned giving programs, grants, and fundraising events. The incumbent would develop an annual budget for each event or campaign, monitor progress, adjust plans when necessary, and evaluate each event.
