The Book Club of California is a nonprofit member and donor supported organization that is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the book and the book arts with an emphasis on the history and literature of California and the West. Our membership is made up of a community united by a love of fine books and includes printers, binders, typographers, historians, librarians, collectors, readers, scholars, and people who simply love books.
The Book Club seeks a volunteer to support the club’s in-person programs and events. Volunteers will greet guest, help with member and guest check-in, answer questions, and do light set-up or break-down tasks. Volunteers are able to attend book-related lectures, talks and presentations while volunteering. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in event coordination, nonprofit work, and/or book-related topics. No experience required as we will train you.
