    Position Overview

    We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Volunteer Coordinator to support the growth and engagement of our growing volunteer team. The Volunteer Coordinator will help ensure that every volunteer who joins FYAR has a smooth, supportive, and inspiring experience,from application to onboarding to active service.

    This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, improving systems, and helping people feel valued and connected.

    Key Responsibilities

    Volunteer Intake & Communication

    • Respond to volunteer inquiries within 48 hours.
    • Schedule and conduct virtual onboarding meetings with new volunteers.
    • Maintain warm, professional communication with both new and current volunteers.
    • Share welcome materials, orientation documents, and role descriptions.

    Volunteer Tracking & Data Management

    • Maintain volunteer records using Monday.com and/or our volunteer tracking tools.
    • Ensure all volunteer information is up to date, including milestones for certificates.
    • Track follow-ups to ensure no volunteer waits more than 4 days for next steps.

    Engagement & Support

    • Monitor volunteer progress and offer support where needed.
    • Coordinate with team leads to place volunteers in roles aligned with their skills and interests.
    • Help identify volunteers who may need additional training or encouragement.
    • Work with the Volunteer Manager to maintain high engagement and team morale.

    Collaboration & Coordination

    • Attend weekly volunteer team meetings.
    • Share daily or weekly priority updates to help leadership stay informed.
    • Work closely with the Volunteer Manager on improving onboarding processes.
    • Assist with implementing new systems, templates, and communication workflows.

    Certificates & Recognition

    • Ensure milestone certificates are created and distributed within one week.
    • Maintain a positive culture of recognition and appreciation.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organization and follow-through
    • Comfortable using or learning tools like Monday.com, Google Workspace, and spreadsheets
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
    • Friendly, patient, and supportive demeanor
    • Experience with volunteer management is a plus but not required
    • Passion for youth development and community service
