    Description

    Fundraiser/Event Co-Chair

    We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude and passion about dogs and our cause to help co-chair our 501c3 non-profit organization's fundraisers!

    We host 3 fundraising events annually, and we also attend 5-6 community/booth events and an online & mail capital campaign throughout the year.

    This position is volunteer-based and is a 12 month term/commitment.

    Hours per month vary, with about 5-10 hours per month 3+ months out from a fundraiser, 10-15 hours per month 2+ months out, 20-25 hours month of event then MUST volunteer day-before and day-of event.

    1 hour in-person meeting in our Rochester, MI office per month then rest of time can be virtual.

    Attend Foundation Events Committee meetings

    Help develop Events Committee and Publicity Committee

    Contact local media about our Events and Donation Presentations- Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Troy Patch, Shelby News, local radio stations/news outlets, etc.

    Social Media Marketing- Facebook, Youtube & Instagram

    Marketing Events to past and prospective participants- Email list on Mailchimp

    Posting Volunteer jobs on various websites- Idealist and Benevity

    Coordinate, assign and communicate with volunteers for events

    and Foundation Committees

    Research companies for Sponsorship/Donations Opportunities

    Involved in Creative Marketing Process

    Attend Fundraising events to volunteer

    Pass out flyers for Fundraising Events to local businesses and

    event sponsors

    Assist with prep and running Fundraising Events

    Assist PLEA Foundation Rep. with various Sponsorship/Donations

    tasks

    Requirements:

    • Passionate about working K9's (dogs) and their line of work
    • Experience with Corporate and/or Non-profit fundraiser coordination
    • Experience with Social Media Marketing on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram
    • Experience with Email marketing with Mailchimp
    • Customer Service experience
    • Experience with Volunteer databases Benevity & Idealist
    • Volunteer at ALL 3 of our hosted events (February, May & October)
    • Volunteer at 2 of our Community/Booth events
    • Give a 5-10 minute report/update on our Monthly Board of Directors Zoom Meetings
