    Description

    Bagful of Books Sale Volunteer

    The Hopewell-Prince George Friends of the Library is seeking volunteers to assist with our annual Bagful of Books Sale, a major fundraiser that supports library programs and services. This popular event allows patrons to fill a grocery bag or reusable tote with books for just $2.

    Volunteer Roles

    Friday, November 7 – Setup Day

    • Help set up tables and organize books by genre.
    • Requires lifting and moving boxes of books (heavy lifting involved).

    Saturday, November 8 – Sale Day

    • Greet patrons and assist with crowd control.
    • Sell Friends of the Library memberships ($10) for one-hour early entry.
    • Restock tables with books throughout the sale.
    • Assist with cleanup after the sale ends at 2:00 PM.

    Event Details

    • Sale Hours: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
    • Friends of the Library Members: Early entry at 10:00 AM (memberships available at the door for $10).
    • Location: Hopewell Library, HMA Room
