    Dallas Pets Alive! is a highly respected animal rescue organization and provides the perfect place to utilize your skills to grow personally and professionally. Our mission is to promote and provide the resources, education, and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals in North Texas - and volunteers make our mission a reality.

    As the External Intake (EI) Coordinator, you will be making a huge impact on this mission by assisting the community when they have a surrender or intake request.

    Team: Foster

    Location: Remote/Virtual - Virtual from anywhere, understanding we are in the CST time zone.

    Time Commitment: Up to 5-10 hours per week

    Reports to: Assistant Foster Director, Foster Director, Assistant VP of Animal Operations, VP of Animal Operations and the Executive Director.

    Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation. After one year of service we issue a professional letter of recommendation from our Director of Volunteer Management and Human Resources, as well as a LinkedIn recommendation(s) as applicable.

    Works with: Will have regular and continuous contact virtually or over the phone with team leaders, foster parents, and other volunteers.

    Responsibilities:

    As the EI Coordinator you will be the main point of contact between Dallas Pets Alive and the requestor.

    • Forward potential candidates to the Intake Approval Team for review
    • Making sure medical or any other records are obtained from the requestor and uploaded to our records system
    • Making sure owner surrender forms are in on surrender situations
    • Making sure the EI agreement is signed and loaded to our records system
    • Process the initial step to intake the pet

    Qualifications/Skills:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications
    • Fluency in English; bilingual a plus!
    • Ability to operate a computer or mobile device

    • Must not have conflicting associations with similar non-profit organizations or business(es) related to animal welfare.
