    Description

    About Us

LoopRoots Foundation and LoopTroop Inc. are building a connected ecosystem of social-impact programs dedicated to improving family stability, transportation access, housing, food security, and wellness for communities impacted by incarceration and poverty.

Our team merges creativity, technology, and compassion to empower families and transform how communities connect and thrive.

    About the Role

We’re seeking a Social Media Strategist to lead the digital storytelling and engagement efforts across the Loop brand family — including LoopTroop (rideshare app) and LoopRoots Foundation programs such as LoopFood, LoopLegal, LoopHousing, and LoopTalk.

This is a volunteer hybrid role (20–25 hours per week) with potential to transition into a paid position post-launch.

You’ll work closely with our Creative Director and Communications Team to grow our audience, strengthen our message, and bring our story to life online.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok.
    • Create and schedule mission-aligned content that increases awareness, engagement, and program participation.
    • Collaborate with the Creative Director and design team on branded graphics, reels, and video storytelling.
    • Manage analytics and reporting — track engagement metrics and adjust campaigns for growth and impact.
    • Develop content calendars, campaign briefs, and digital toolkits for ongoing programs.
    • Monitor trends in social media, digital advocacy, and tech-for-good campaigns to keep Loop’s voice current and authentic.
    • Engage with followers and community partners to nurture online relationships and amplify our message.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in social media management, marketing, or digital strategy (nonprofit or mission-driven experience preferred).
    • Strong understanding of social platforms, engagement tactics, and analytics tools.
    • Skilled in content writing, copy editing, and community management.
    • Proficient in Canva, Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, or similar scheduling tools.
    • Excellent communication and creative storytelling skills.
    • Passionate about using social media to drive real-world impact and advocacy.

    What We Offer

    • Leadership opportunity within a purpose-driven creative team.
    • Hands-on experience building a multi-brand social media presence.
    • Creative freedom and mentorship from experienced nonprofit and tech leaders.
    • Pathway to a paid position post-launch, based on performance and available funding.
    • Real impact — every campaign you create will help families access rides, housing, and resources.
