The 4D Math Alliance is seeking exceptional individuals to join our board of directors and lead a transformative mission in educational innovation. We are at a pivotal moment in education, where technological advancements such as AI, and mathematical thinking, can reshape the future of learning.

Who We Are

4D Math Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to revolutionizing mathematical education through technological innovation, strategic funding, and equitable access to advanced learning opportunities for teachers. We partner with math teachers and leaders who commit to instructional practices that empower all students as thinkers and "doers" of mathematics.

We Are Looking For

Candidates with Expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Marketing
• Non-profit legal experience
• Fundraising
• AI and Educational Technology
• Technology Funding and Grant Development
• Public Relations
• Nonprofit Governance

Background in STEM Careers or workforce development

Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrated commitment to educational innovation
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Network of contacts in education, technology, and/or policy sectors
• Passion for creating equitable learning opportunities for educators
• Ability to contribute to fundraising and strategic planning efforts

Our Current Educational Landscape

The K-12 public education system faces unprecedented challenges:

• Technological disparities across school districts
• Misalignment between traditional education and emerging workforce needs - Limited resources in some areas

Board Member Responsibilities:

1.Strategic Guidance

• Develop and refine organizational strategy
• Provide oversight on educational innovation initiatives
• Contribute expertise to guide organizational direction

2.Advocacy and Networking

• Represent 4D Math Alliance in educational and technological circles - Build partnerships with educational institutions, educational technology companies, and policymakers
• Help expand our network and influence

3.Fundraising and Resource Development

• Assist in identifying and securing funding opportunities
• Support grant writing and donor engagement efforts
• Leverage personal and professional networks

4.Governance and Oversight

• Participate in board meetings and strategic planning sessions
• Ensure financial accountability and organizational effectiveness
• Contribute to policy development and organizational growth
• Serve on committees or task forces and take on special assignments as needed

Our Vision

Time Commitment

• Estimated 5-10 hours per month
• Quarterly board meetings
• Occasional special committees and working groups
• Ability to attend virtual or in-person meetings
