Now more than ever, girls need opportunities to develop skills in cooperation and collaboration. They need to feel supported in identifying and expressing their emotions. They need to be equipped with the ability to create and foster strong, healthy relationships with their peers.
We recognize the important connection between body and mind. Our program centers around fun and accessible physical activity, ensuring we are strengthening physical - as well as emotional - health.
Girls on the Run can strengthen girls’ physical and emotional health. Through a simple online training course, you will gain access to all the resources you need to lead a small group of elementary or middle school girls in developing important life skills and healthy habits. It is our goal to ensure you are comfortable and equipped in supporting girls during each practice. Over the course of 10 weeks, twice a week for 90 minutes, you will lead your team through fun and interactive lessons.
Our dedicated staff will provide everything you need to make a real difference in the lives of girls in our community. Did you know that volunteering has been shown to reduce feelings of social isolation and lower stress levels? At Girls on the Run, we teach girls to stand up for themselves and others, reminding them that they are the authors of their powerful stories. By creating an inclusive and action-oriented environment, we’re empowering the next generation of strong, empathetic women.
