    Description

Embrace Abilities is a growing nonprofit founded by a mom raising a child with a disability. We support families of children with disabilities by connecting them to resources, community, and hope.

Currently, we have no formal volunteer program — just occasional calls for help. We use Google Workspace and Slack but are open to recommendations for better tools or systems to help us organize and grow. As we become insured and expand, we need your help building a strong volunteer structure.

    What You’ll Do

Work closely with our founder (a full-time working parent and student) to:

    • Organize and track volunteer information, hours, and roles
    • Create a volunteer intake form to capture skills, interests, and availability
    • Help set up volunteer teams or channels for clear communication
    • Develop an onboarding process to make volunteering easy and consistent
    • Recommend tools or software to improve volunteer management and tracking
    • Communicate primarily via email to fit the founder’s busy schedule

    Who You Are

    • Comfortable using or learning Google Workspace and Slack
    • Organized, proactive, and able to create systems from scratch
    • Patient and empathetic toward the challenges of a busy nonprofit leader
    • Passionate about disability inclusion and community support
    • Able to commit approximately 4–6 flexible hours per week

    Why This Role Matters

Our founder balances full-time work, school, parenting a child with special needs, and running this nonprofit. You’ll help create the foundation for a sustainable volunteer program so Embrace Abilities can continue growing and serving families.

    How to Apply

Please email us a brief message about why you’re interested and any relevant experience — no formal resume required.
