Techrity is a non-profit organization focused on bridging gaps in unemployment, gender inclusion, and poverty by equipping young talents with the resources to get started in Tech and build innovative solutions for social good in Africa.
We seek a volunteer Community manager to join our team. If you are a tech-savvy professional, experienced in community growth and promotional events, we would like to meet you.
Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to develop engaging content. You should be a ‘people person’ and have the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community.
Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of Techrity and manage all community communications.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Community Building and Engagement:- Developing and implementing strategies to grow and engage the community.
- Creating and curating engaging content (text, images, videos) across community channels.
- Moderating discussions, responding to comments and inquiries, and fostering positive interactions.
- Organizing and managing events (online and offline) to foster community interaction and Techrity awareness.
- Monitoring community feedback and addressing concerns promptly.
 
- Relationship Management:- Building and maintaining relationships with community members, industry professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Acting as the voice of Techrity and representing the community's interests internally.
- Connecting community members with each other and fostering a sense of belonging.
 
- Content Strategy and Management:- Developing and executing content plans.
- Creating engaging content that aligns with Techrity voice and goals.
 
- Data Analysis and Reporting:- Monitoring and analyzing community engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, etc.).
- Tracking website traffic and other relevant data to assess the effectiveness of community initiatives.
- Providing regular reports to management and stakeholders on community performance.
 
- Collaboration and Communication:- Collaborating with other teams to align community efforts with overall Techrity goals.
- Communicating community feedback and insights to relevant teams.
- Staying up-to-date on digital trends and best practices
