Come join our Blue Water Hospice Volunteer Team! Are you caring and compassionate? Do you have a passion for helping others? Then we would love to have you as a hospice volunteer!
Blue Water Hospice’s volunteers are provided the preparation and training they need to comfortably and successfully complete their chosen assignments. Some volunteers receive additional training based on their selected area of service. We currently have office volunteers, musical volunteers, and patient and family care volunteers. If you have a skil or special ability and want to use it to serve others or if you simply love visiting people and listening to and learning from their stories, then Blue Water Hospice may be a good fit for you to volunteer. Although our office is in Leander, Blue Water Hospice services the entire Austin metropolitan area from Georgetown to Kyle.

Description
Blue Water Hospice is a new hospice launched under the umbrella of Blue Water Homecare in Leander Texas. Blue Water Homecare was started in 2017 with the goal of creating "a premier company producing quality, personalized care to seniors and their families," and has rapidly become a leading non-medical Homecare provider in our area. In fact, it was voted Best Non-Medical Home Care provider in the Senior Resource Guide For Active Aging Adults 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards and the Best Home Health Care provider in the Hill Country News Best of the Best Awards in both 2020 and 2021. As a hospice we are committed to providing the same level of care and service to seniors with life-threatening illnesses and their families/loved-ones. A good metaphor for the way we at Blue Water view our caregiving to seniors is that of an "accompanist." In music the role of an accompanist is to support, highlight, enhance and magnify the music of others. Therefore, as an accompanist in senior care, we view our primary role to be that of using our skills and self as a means of lifting-up, enhancing and enabling each person we serve and care for to be the very best they can be, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. If that at all resonates with you, we would love for you to consider becoming a vital part of the Blue Water team as a Hospice volunteer. We are looking both for volunteers who can help out in the office and visit patients and their families.
