    About Us:

    Obu Lamu is a safe, nurturing, and creative learning environment dedicated to supporting children with diverse learning needs. We are seeking a compassionate, committed, and adaptable Special Needs Support Educator to join our team.

    Role Overview:

    As a Special Needs Support Educator, you will report to the Creative Projects Manager and focus on providing specialist support for learners with specific needs, including speech, communication, and learning disorders. This role combines hands-on classroom support, individualized interventions, and collaborative program delivery.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and deliver lesson plans adapted for learners with special needs.
    • Provide targeted interventions in speech therapy, communication, and sign language.
    • Conduct individualized assessments and monitor learner progress.
    • Support classroom teachers with strategies to meet individual learning needs.
    • Communicate with parents regarding specialized learning goals and progress.
    • Participate in school events, program delivery, and collaborative teaching while ensuring learners with special needs are fully supported.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Academic qualification in Special Needs Education.
    • Experience handling children with learning disorders and special needs such as dyslexia, autism, cerebral palsy, and ADHD.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Patience, empathy, and flexibility in adapting to diverse learning needs.
    • Creative and resourceful approach to teaching and learning.
