    Description

    Job Summary: Your role is to provide administrative support to the Board of Advisory and ensure the smooth functioning of the board. The Assistant will work closely with the Board Chair, Vice-Chair, and Executive Director to help manage board activities and ensure the timely execution of board actions and maintenance of board documents. You should have excellent time management and communication skills to succeed in this role. You will collaborate with different departments for document development and collaborate with the internal team to promote deadline delivery.

    Job Description

    As the assistant of the board of directors, you will be coordinating meetings, preparing draft agendas, managing correspondence, and acting as an assistant secretary of the board. The Board Assistant also assists in preparing materials for meetings, maintains accurate and up-to-date records of the Board's actions, and acts as a liaison between the Board and other departments within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinating and scheduling meetings of the Board of Advisory, including preparing draft agendas and arranging for necessary equipment and materials.
    • Preparing and distributing meeting materials, including minutes and reports, to Board members in a timely manner
    • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of the Board's actions
    • Acting as a liaison between the Board and other departments within the organization
    • Assisting with special projects and other tasks as assigned by the Board Chair
    • Follow-up with board members on requests from the CEO
    • Train new Board members on their roles and responsibilities
    • Managing activities for the Board, such as retreats, fundraisers, and networking events

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
    • Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory
    • Passionate about Womenful Voice's mission and values
    • Experience in fundraising and event planning is a plus
