    Position Title: Social Media and Information Session Coordinator (Volunteer Role)

    Organization: Open Arms Rural Resource Center

    About Us:

    Open Arms Rural Resource Center is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting families and individuals in rural areas through access to essential resources, educational programs, and outreach initiatives. We’re seeking a motivated volunteer to help us expand our reach and strengthen community engagement through effective digital communication and event coordination.

    Role Overview:

    The Social Media & Information Session Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing the organization’s online presence and managing the planning and promotion of community information sessions. This position is ideal for someone passionate about community development, digital media, and public outreach.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement social media strategies to raise awareness about programs and events.
    • Coordinate logistics for information sessions, including scheduling, communications, and participant engagement.
    • Create and share promotional materials, newsletters, and event recaps across digital platforms.
    • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to collect stories, photos, and updates that highlight impact.
    • Track engagement performance, respond to community inquiries, and provide feedback to improve outreach efforts.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.).
    • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects.
    • Passion for rural community empowerment and social services.
