The Mirror Effects | General Team Member Application

The Mirror Effects is a youth-led legal education and civic engagement organization building the nation’s first high school legal aid network. We are currently recruiting general team members across all departments for the 2025–2026 cycle. Applicants will be placed into one of the following teams based on interest and experience.

    Departments:

    Human Resources (HR) & Outreach

Work to expand the reach of The Mirror Effects through school partnerships, local and national collaborations, event recruitment, and community engagement efforts.

Support internal hiring processes, onboarding, team management, and conflict resolution. HR also leads internal culture development and communication systems.

    Marketing and Communications

Lead brand-building efforts through digital strategy, social media management, graphics, and public messaging. Team members will also contribute to campaigns and external communications.

    Curriculum

Create and revise legal and civics education materials for high school audiences. This includes writing lesson plans, developing activities, and ensuring educational accuracy.

    Podcast and Media

Plan, produce, and promote episodes for The Mirror Effects podcast. Team members may participate in scripting, guest outreach, editing, and content design.

    Writing and Research

Draft articles, conduct legal research, and create explainers that break down complex topics for student audiences. This team also supports organizational reports and op-eds.
