    Description

    Cat Care & Enrichment Volunteer

Love cats and kittens and want to spend time petting, playing and hanging out with them - and helping them find loving homes at the same time? This could be the right opportunity for you!

We want our cats to have the best experience possible while they are at the shelter! Volunteers provide cat care (food and water, clean litter boxes, do laundry) and also provide enrichment activities for specific cats depending on their needs (socialization, play, petting), and keep notes on cats' preferences, behaviors and progress.

Shifts are 2 hours around lunchtime and in the late afternoon, Monday though Sunday, and we ask that you sign up for at least two shifts per month. We run orientations twice per month where we'll give you all the training our need.

Note: you will be asked to complete the Shelter Fear Free online training (approx. 6 hours) within 2 months of joining the team.
