    Position Overview

    The Volunteer Human Resources (HR) Manager will help build and oversee fair, supportive, and effective people practices for both volunteers and staff. This role suits an experienced HR professional interested in providing strategic guidance in a flexible, mission-driven setting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead volunteer and staff recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
    • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and role descriptions.
    • Support leaders with performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.
    • Advise on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential HR and volunteer records in line with applicable regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related field required; master’s degree preferred.
    • Previous experience in human resources management, generalist, or business administration roles.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Understanding of HR best practices, confidentiality, and basic employment or volunteer-related regulations.
