Applications are now being accepted for our next New CASA Volunteer Training! All interested in serving as a CASA must complete an application and meet with staff prior to training and consent to a criminal background check and central registry clearance check.
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. CASA Advocates are appointed by the court to work with children who have been removed from their biological parents' care due to abuse and/or neglect. CASA Advocates visit their appointed child/ren every 7 to 10 days at their placement (a foster home or relative placement); and report back to the court on how the child/ren are doing throughout their foster care experience.
You do not need experience in child welfare, law, or social work! We have a wonderful group of volunteer advocates from all walks of life! All we need are folks who have the heart and time to commit to making a difference in the lives of youth in foster care!
