    Can you spare 1 hour a week to visit or call an older adult? Become a Friendly Visiting volunteer in Queens, NY!

    Queens Community House (QCH) is recruiting volunteers for our Friendly Visiting program, a program that matches home bound older adults with volunteers for weekly visiting to help create a mutual relationship and reduce isolation and loneliness among older adults in our community.

    Help brighten an older adult's day today!! We cover neighborhoods in Western, Central and Southeast Queen, which include:

    Long Island City, Astoria, Sunnyside, Woodside, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Corona, Maspeth, Middle Village, Ridgewood, Glendale, Rego Park, Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Woodhaven, Richmond Hill, Howard Beach, Ozone Park, Jamaica, Hollis, St. Albans, The Rockaways and Broad Channel.

    Together, the older adult and volunteer can discuss shared interests, learn/teach new skills, read books, learn technology, play board games, do arts and crafts, and much more! Help brighten an older adult's day today!!
