    Description

Do you love to write? Imagine how much your words could mean to someone navigating their final chapter.

We’re seeking compassionate Pen Pal Volunteers to exchange letters with hospice patients, or simply write uplifting notes, poems, or short stories that brighten someone’s day.

Some of our patients love receiving letters and responding in return, while others simply enjoy reading heartfelt words from new friends. You can send reflections, stories, questions, or even creative writing that sparks imagination and comfort.

    Perfect for:

    • Writers, poets, or journaling enthusiasts
    • People who want to connect through words
    • Anyone who believes kindness can travel through paper

    Options Available:

    • Two-way pen pal (correspondence back and forth with a patient)
    • One-way letter writing (write uplifting notes, fiction, or reflections for patients who enjoy receiving mail)

    Requirements:

    • Compassion, empathy, and reliability
    • Willingness to follow confidentiality and content guidelines
    • Ability to write at least one letter per month

Your words have power to comfort, to inspire, and to remind others they are not alone. Join us in writing love and hope, one letter at a time.
