Description
End-of-life doulas bring a unique presence to hospice care, offering calm, companionship, and meaning in life’s final chapter. Compassus Hospice welcomes trained doulas who wish to volunteer their time and skills in support of patients and families.
Doula volunteers may:
- Sit vigil and provide comfort during the final hours
- Offer relaxation techniques such as guided imagery or breathing practices
- Support families in saying goodbye through rituals or simple acts of presence
- Assist with life review, letter writing, or legacy projects
- Provide caregiver respite and emotional support
Your ability to hold space, ease fear, and bring dignity can make a profound difference for patients and families during tender times.
