Hospice Companionship Volunteers Needed!

Calling all volunteers with hospice hearts in the Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester communites! This is your opportunity to join a team of compassionate volunteers by sharing your time and talents to provide companionship and caregiver relief to hospice patients and their families. You’ll receive training and orientation to ensure you feel confident and comfortable in your role.

Support our patients and their families by offering a warm presence and a helping hand. Here are some example of what our volunteers do for our families:

• Visit patients and join them in conversation, their favorite hobbies, or simply hold quiet, peaceful presence
• Take a patient or their pet out for a short walk
• Keep a patient company while their caregivers take a much needed break
• Share your specialized skills including reiki, prayer, cosmetology, music, or whatever your talents are!
• Just be together
