Toy Drive Volunteers Needed

Help spread joy this holiday season by joining Westmoreland Community Action’s Christmas for Kids toy drive! Each year, WCA brings smiles to local children by collecting and distributing toys to families in need. We can’t do it without volunteers like you!

As a volunteer, you’ll have the chance to help with a variety of tasks, including:

• Sorting toy donations
• Bagging toys for families
• Shopping for toys
• Helping families load their vehicles
• Organizing and storing leftover toys for next year

Close toe shoes are required while volunteering inside our warehouse. The environment is indoor/outdoor, and we operate rain or shine!

Your time and energy directly help bring joy to children and relief to families in our community. Whether you can give a few hours or several days, every bit of help makes a difference!

In order to volunteer, you will need to complete the volunteer packet that is supplied by the WCA human resources department or retrieved from the WCA website. Additionally, you will need to supply the WCA human resource department the following clearances:

• Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check,
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Check,
• National Sex Offender Registry Verification, and
• FBI Criminal History Report if you have NOT maintained a Pennsylvania residential address continuously for the past 10 years.

Instructions for obtaining the above clearances can be found in the volunteer packet supplied by the WCA human resource department or by retrieving the packet from the WCA website.
