Description
We need volunteers to help serve up some Frosty Fun at Waterford Oaks County Park! The event will feature cozy outdoor activities and a fireworks show during the middle of Michigan's brrrr season.
Volunteers will assist staff and rotate through various stations:
- carriage ride lines
- break area
- crafts
- outdoor games
- snowshoe station
- picture booth at lighted walk
- wagon ride lines
There are two shifts to choose from: 3:30 - 6:30 pm and 6:00- 8:30 pm. This is an outdoor event and you will need to dress accordingly.

In order to become a volunteer, please follow these instructions:
Fill out the proper application (adult or minor).

- Minors under 14 must fill out the Minor Waiver and be accompanied/chaperoned by an adult who has a valid Adult application, waiver and background check on file.
Complete and pass a background check (adults 18+ only).
Our Parks Commission has directed us to perform background checks that include a search of these 3 areas:
- Nationwide Criminal Database
- Social Security Address Trace
- Nationwide Sex Offender Registry
This step is intended to provide for the safety and security of Park patrons, other volunteers and staff at our recreation programs and operations. Please note: you will be invited to complete this via email and/or text and the link expires after 5 days. Please reply to have a new link sent if you miss the deadline.
