    Description

Tutor in-person with Adult Literacy program! (1802 W. Berteau Ave. Chicago, 60613)

The Anixter Center is seeking volunteer tutors for our adult literacy program! Volunteers would be expected to complete approximately fourteen hours of online training on being a literacy tutor and working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Once training is complete we ask that volunteers commit to one hour a week of one-on-one tutoring for a minimum of three months but we would of course prefer that they stick around longer! We currently have in person options or virtual options depending on the learner’s access to and ability to use the internet.
