    Position Summary

    The African Think Tank (TATT) seeks a visionary and mission-aligned Volunteer Executive Director/Consultant to lead and manage the organization’s daily operations and strategic growth. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with deep cultural awareness, nonprofit management experience, and a passion for empowering the African Diaspora. The Executive Director will play a critical role in operational leadership, program oversight, fundraising development, and strategic plan execution.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Organizational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of TATT in alignment with the mission, vision, and values.
    • Strategic Implementation: Drive progress on the FY24–26 Strategic Plan, including goals related to infrastructure, programming, and financial sustainability.
    • Fundraising & Development: Lead fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant applications, major gift strategy, and event support.
    • Program Oversight: Provide strategic and operational oversight of all TATT programs, ensuring quality, consistency, and measurable impact.
    • Team Management: Collaborate with board members, regional directors, interns, and volunteers to build team capacity and alignment.
    • External Engagement: Represent TATT in partnerships, public events, and stakeholder meetings to expand the organization’s visibility and impact.
    • Board Collaboration: Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors to support governance and strategic planning.
