    Description

Mentor High Achieving High School Students from Low Income Families to Their Dream Colleges

As a Mentor, you have an opportunity to help Minds Matter students synthesize what they have learned in the classroom and apply it to their path to college. Mentors focus is on preparing Minds Matter mentees for success in college. This means we help students with skills gaps in math and writing, as well as work with them to build strong public speaking and critical reasoning skills.

We will be serving students for the 2025-2026 school year in person but will prioritize student and volunteer safety and comfort.

Time Commitment: 2 hours per week from September through May, including approximately three Saturday sessions per month from 12:25 pm-2:00 pm.

More detail: Two mentees are paired with two mentors.
