El Hogar offers formal 1st - 12th grade education, residential care, vocational training, health and well-being programs for children from vulnerable conditions. A total of 263 children based on two campuses in Tegucigalpa, Honduras received services in 2025, 63 of whom were in residential care.
We are looking for candidates for the Board of Directors. The ideal El Hogar board candidate is committed to our mission, with passion for education, poverty reduction, empowerment of girls and women, and economic development. We seek those with interest in Honduras and Central America, relevant expertise, and time to dedicate. Candidates should contribute philanthropically, engage the community, cultivate donors, and serve as ambassadors by speaking and leveraging networks to identify new supporters and resources.
