What is the GCBS Volunteer Corps?
The Garden City Bird Sanctuary, Inc. (GCBS) has a core group of approximately 30 individuals that keep our 9-acre jewel open to the public during our open season (weekends from the end of April to the end of September, 10am-6pm, weather permitting). The Volunteer Corp also beatifies the grounds and helps with events.

This comprehensive program is designed to transform enthusiastic people into effective and inspiring leaders. We equip you with the essential tools, knowledge, and practical experience needed to lead the Volunteer Corp and take us to the next level in environmental stewardship.

We need a Volunteer Corp Captain, Lieutenant, and several Shift Supervisors.
