Volunteer Recruitment Manager

Overview:

The Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA) is a non-profit organization that provides mentoring, education, and networking opportunities for veterans seeking to transition into project management. We are seeking a Volunteer Recruitment Manager who will be responsible for recruiting, managing, and retaining volunteers for VPMMA. The Volunteer Recruitment Manager will work closely with the Director of Ambassador and the program directors to identify volunteer needs and ensure that VPMMA has the resources to achieve its goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies
• Identify and reach out to potential volunteers
• Develop and maintain relationships with volunteers and ensure they feel valued and engaged
• Manage volunteer assignments and schedules
• Ensure that volunteers have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties
• Track volunteer hours and report on volunteer activity
• Develop and maintain volunteer policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in volunteer recruitment and management preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in supporting veterans and promoting project management as a career
• Commitment to VPMMA's mission and values

Training and Support: Volunteers will receive comprehensive onboarding covering VPMMA's mission, community strategies, and platform tools. Ongoing support will be provided by the board of directors and a network of resource coordinators.
