Do you want to help an urban student - Be a Mentor or a Partner - (Newark, Roselle & Jersey City)!

We are looking for mentors to coach motivated urban high school students from Newark, Roselle and Jersey City. Mentored youth have significantly better chances for high school graduation and college acceptance, thereby significantly increasing life's opportunities. You can make a huge difference in someone's life!!

Currently we need mentors at our partner schools:

Hudson Catholic High School in Jersey City

St. Dominic Academy in Jersey City

St. Benedict's Prep, Boys and Girls Division in Newark

St. Vincent Academy in Newark

Roselle Catholic High School, Roselle

S/PA organizes a few in person mentor/mentee events per year either at the schools or other locations, such as, field trips to Liberty Science Center, Newark Art Museum, Winter Party at Seton Hall University, etc. Other opportunities to interact include webinars on topics such as: Financial Literacy, College Planning, and Resume Building. We also encourage texting, emailing and talking on the phone as much as you can.

Note: A Partner is a Mentor who also sponsors the student by donating $3,500 per year for four years to fund the student's scholarship.
