    Job Description Opportunity

    Young Mothers, Inc. is seeking a motivated and organized Public Relations Coordinator to support the organization’s public relations and brand awareness efforts. This remote volunteer role supports media outreach, relationship-building, and public-facing initiatives that help increase visibility for Young Mothers, Inc. and its mission.

    The Public Relations Coordinator works collaboratively with internal teams to strengthen community presence and media engagement.

    Public Relations Coordinator Job Duties

    Work with the Executive director to identify local businesses and local news stations across Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram

    Build relationships with media contacts and local news outlets to increase organizational visibility

    Support development of PR strategies, campaigns, and initiatives to build brand awareness

    Create and maintain media kits and support local PR execution

    Create Eventbrite postings for organizational events

    Collaborate with Social Media Strategist and LinkedIn experts to identify target audiences

    Support relationship-building with media, donors, sponsors, and young mothers in business

    Manage media contacts, press lists, and media relations

    Skills and Qualifications

    Interest or experience in public relations, communications, or media outreach

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Strong organizational and relationship-building abilities

    Comfortable working collaboratively across teams

    Professional, detail-oriented, and reliable
