Children's Bereavement Support Group Volunteers needed

Stepping Stones Volunteer Training - We have an upcoming training on November 8, 2025, 9am-4pm for volunteer facilitators of our children's grief support groups.

PeaceHealth Hospice is looking for volunteers to be a part of our children's bereavement group called Stepping Stones. Stepping Stones provides support for children, teens and their families as they work through grief process. Volunteers are trained to listen and reflect with families who have experienced the death of a loved one. Hospice Volunteer Training is also required. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment of one year to the program.

Completion of Hospice Volunteer training is a prerequisite. Hospice Volunteer training is a hybrid training with 2 half day in-person classes held 2 weeks apart and the online portion of the training to be done before the second meeting. Hospice Volunteer training will be October 7 and 21, 2025 from 1-4:30pm. (Trainings are held three times a year.) BOTH sessions are required.
