As a Transportation Coordinator, you'll solve mobility challenges for refugee and immigrant families, typically African adults and children, through Unite Us, email, and phone assistance. You'll research free and public transportation options, provide guidance on rental cars and moving services, and offer information about vehicle retailers. Your role is advisory only; refer clients to the Government Assistance Coordinator for purchase decisions. You'll document transportation barriers and demographics for our Data team, and advocate at community meetings for improved public transit access serving immigrant neighborhoods.
Please answer all short questions. You should have knowledge of local transportation systems or experience helping people navigate mobility challenges. If not, please tell us why you want to develop these transportation coordination skills! Our team has PhD students and logistics coordinators who can guide you in identifying transportation resources, understanding public transit options, and documenting mobility barriers. You MUST have a CV/Resume to get accepted.
