Community Vision Screeners

St. Mary Medical Center's Low Vision department's Vision Screening Program has been in existence for over 20 years. We are looking for women that would be interested in helping. You and your fellow volunteer Low Vision Screeners will be instrumental in helping to provide accurate vision evaluations to the children of the greater Long Beach area schools thereby creating a healthier community. Training is provided.

Our volunteers provide the vision screenings as a group, currently in need of volunteers on Wednesday mornings. You can make new friends while helping children in our community.

Volunteers will be required to join St. Mary's Volunteer Program which requires a minimum commitment of 100 hours, a background check, and attendance to a hospital volunteer orientation. Retired applicants preferred but not required.
