    Description

We coach activists to lead lawful, nonviolent civil resistance against Trump and his enablers.

Through strategic campaigns, toolkits, boycotts, and community organizing, we’re contributing to the movement to resist this authoritarian administration and begin rebuilding our democracy — and we’re going to win.

    Position Overview

We’re seeking a calm and solutions-oriented Zoom Troubleshooter to support activists and volunteers who experience access issues when joining authenticated Zoom meetings. This role ensures that participants can successfully enter trainings, town halls, and organizing calls—especially when meetings require login verification or additional security steps.

The Zoom Troubleshooter is often the first human point of contact for frustrated or confused participants and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, accessible experience for activists at critical moments.

This role requires a weekly commitment of approximately five hours, primarily aligned with scheduled events.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist participants who experience difficulty joining authenticated Zoom meetings
    • Troubleshoot common Zoom access issues (login, authentication, permissions)
    • Provide clear, calm, and friendly guidance to participants in real time
    • Coordinate with meeting hosts and tech administrators during live events
    • Help maintain and update basic Zoom access documentation and FAQs
    • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to access workflows

    Ideal Candidate

    • Strong alignment with the mission and values of the #ResistTrump Campaign
    • Comfortable with Zoom and virtual meeting platforms
    • Patient, empathetic, and clear communicator under time pressure
    • Able to explain technical steps in simple, accessible language
    • Experience providing tech support is a plus, but not required

    Must Be and Have

    • Calm demeanor during live events
    • Reliable availability during scheduled calls
    • Good judgment when handling participant information
    • Willingness to follow security and access protocols

    What We Provide

    • Zoom access and training
    • Clear escalation paths and event schedules
    • Support from campaign tech and organizing teams

    Requirements

    • Three-month commitment
    • Availability during scheduled Zoom events
    • Willingness to sign our Code of Conduct

#ResistTrump is committed to lawful, nonviolent action. All volunteers must agree to signing our Code of Conduct which centers these principles in all of our work.
