    Fundraising & Event Coordinator

Location: Remote/Local Hybrid - Muncie, IN

Commitment: Part-Time Volunteer / Flexible Hours

    Organization: Wind Haven Foundation

    About Wind Haven:

Wind Haven is a faith-based virtual recovery campus dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence and toxic relationships become Overcomers. Through trauma-informed resources, healing programs, and a compassionate community, we walk with individuals on the journey from crisis to clarity. Further, Wind Haven is based in Warner Robins, GA and is working on local initiatives for housing support, and domestic violence advocacy & prevention.

We’re building something powerful-and we need your help to spread the word, raise funds, and gather community support.

    The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Volunteer Fundraising & Event Coordinator to help us grow awareness, organize local outreach events, and build relationships with donors and community partners. This role is perfect for someone who loves planning, people, and purpose-and wants to use their gifts to create real impact in the lives of survivors.

You’ll work closely with the CEO & CFO to coordinate events, organize fundraising campaigns, and help us connect with donors, sponsors, churches, and local businesses.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and coordinate in-person and online fundraising events (small gatherings, donation drives, benefit nights, awareness events, etc.)
    • Assist with sponsorship outreach and donor relations
    • Coordinate logistics for local events in Warner Robins (venue, volunteers, supplies, food, etc.)
    • Support grant/fundraising campaigns with creative ideas and follow-up
    • Build connections with churches, civic groups, and local media outlets
    • Help keep our donor thank-you process personal and heartfelt
    • Organize and manage a local fundraising team
    • Serve as a point of contact for event volunteers when needed

    Ideal Qualifications:

    • Event planning or fundraising experience (personal, volunteer, or professional)
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Comfortable talking to people, building relationships, and sharing our mission
    • Available to attend in-person events or meetings in Warner Robins as needed
    • Passion for trauma recovery, survivor advocacy, and faith-based ministry
    • Bonus: Experience with sponsorships, church outreach, or social media marketing

    What You’ll Gain:

    • A front-row seat to life transformation
    • Opportunities to lead, grow, and innovate within a purpose-driven team
    • Resume, experience, and letters of recommendation
    • Deep fulfillment knowing your work is directly impacting survivors’ healing journeys
    • This position has the potential to turn into a paid position contingent on funding.

    Location:

Mostly remote, but must be local to Warner Robins, GA for on-site events and community initiatives.

    To Apply:

Please complete the Volunteer Match form and email a short introduction and any relevant experience to windhaven@windhavenfoundation.org with the subject line:

Volunteers must complete a federal background check via FBI website & local vendor for fingerprinting. Due to limited funding, volunteers are responsible for the cost of their own background check.

We’re excited to meet someone who loves planning and purpose-if that’s you, don’t wait!
